Collection Traced Bucket List - 4ml Fountain Pen Ink Sample
Details
Hue: A mid green with a teal edge and yellow-green in the lighter areas. Collector databases log this ink as teal or sea green, but on my swatches it reads clearly green, with teal only at the edges of the swab and in the drier patches.
Shading: Strong. The handwriting moves from soft sage to a deeper green, and the swabs shift across yellow-green, green and teal.
Sheen: Yes. A dark red to burgundy rim appears where the ink pools. Expect to see it in wet nibs and heavy swabs more than in fine-nib writing.
Shimmer: None listed by the maker. The swabs have a soft satin glow where the ink pools, but I can’t see any particles.
Flow: Medium
The interesting bit: Collection Traced is a Chinese ink house known for gradient and chromatic shading inks that change with the paper. The Chinese name on the bottle, 彼方, means “the faraway place” or “over there”. The English name, Bucket List, gives it a different twist: the distant places you’ve promised yourself you’ll reach one day. The label carries that idea through, with green hills and a pale sky set inside what looks like a to-do card, complete with a progress bar.
This is a hand-decanted 4ml sample vial from my own bottle.
Photos are my own swatches on Tomoe River Paper.
I’m a collector and I’m always happy to talk ink, so please message me if you have any questions.

A 4ml vial, hand-decanted by me from my own bottle. Swatch photos are mine, on Tomoe River paper. Colours vary with paper, nib and screen, so treat them as a good guide rather than an exact match.
