Details

Hue: A dusty rose with a warm, brownish lean. Officially described as a soft blush pink, but in my swatches it reads browner and deeper than "blush" suggests: dusty rose-brown in writing, pale peach-pink at the lightest points, and a deep mauve-brown where it pools.

Shading: Yes, clearly visible. It moves from pale peach to deeper rose-brown within single strokes and across the swab.

Sheen: None seen.

Shimmer: None.

Flow: Medium.

The interesting bit: Teranishi was founded in Taisho 5 (1916), and the Taisho Roman Haikara series marked its 105th anniversary. "Haikara", literally "high collar", was the era's slang for anything stylish and Western-influenced. Opera Rose nods to the years when European opera first became fashionable in Japan, which is why the box shows a dancing couple on a curtained stage. Guitar is Teranishi's house brand, and the bottle lid carries a reprint of an early trademark.

This is a hand-decanted 4ml sample vial from my own bottle.
