Scribo Rosa Antico — 4ml Fountain Pen Ink Sample
Details
Hue: Dusty antique rose with a clear brown lean. Scribo presents it as an elegant, delicate pink, but on my swatches it reads browner than that: a soft nude pink-brown in writing, deepening to chocolate brown where the ink pools.
Shading: Gentle in writing, with strokes darkening slightly at the edges and ends. Heavy pools show strong dark edge lines and warmer tan centres.
Sheen: None
Shimmer: None
Flow: Dry
The interesting bit: Scribo stands for Scrittura Bolognese. The company was started in Bologna by former Omas craftspeople, on the same day the historic Bolognese pen maker closed. Rosa antico is the traditional Italian name for antique, or old, rose. Scribo's ink range launched with ten colours, and Rosa Antico came later.
This is a hand-decanted 4ml sample vial from my own bottle.
