Details
Hue: Warm golden caramel brown. It is officially described as an orange leaning to yellow ochre. On my swatches it reads browner and less orange than that. Think toffee or tawny tan rather than orange, and it deepens to milk-chocolate brown where the ink pools.
Shading: Strong. There is clear light-to-dark variation in writing, and the swabs show lovely mottling with darker pooled edges.
Sheen: None.
Shimmer: None.
Flow: Medium.
The interesting bit: Aunt Tiger (虎姑婆, Hóo-koo-pô in Taiwanese) comes from Lennon Tool Bar's All Kinds of Spirits collection, which is based on spirits from Taiwanese folklore. In the tale, a tiger spirit disguises herself as a kindly aunt and visits at night, pretending to care for children but eating the ones who won't go to sleep. It is essentially a story adults told to get children into bed. The box art shows the famous ending, where a child up a tree pours a pot over the tiger. Lennon Tool Bar was founded in 2014 in Tamsui, Taiwan, and began by reviving the island's traditional indigo-dyeing craft.
