Ferris Wheel Press FerriTales Workshop Wishes — 4ml Fountain Pen Ink Sample
Details
Hue: A warm golden brown. Ferris Wheel Press call it "Beech Wood Brown" and most retailer copy describes it as a light beige-brown, which matches how it looks in writing — a soft tan with a golden cast. My swatches show it goes considerably deeper than "beige" suggests where the ink pools, dropping into a dark walnut-to-coffee brown with almost black-brown edges.
Shading: Strong. The range across my swatches runs from light tan through to near-black brown at the edges, and the writing sample shows clear variation within individual strokes.
Sheen: None.
Shimmer: Yes. A fine metallic shimmer, clearly visible across the swatch strip and dense in the pooled areas. Ferris Wheel Press describe it as silver. In my swatches it reads as a cool silvery gleam that picks up a faint warm cast in some lights.
Flow: Dry.
The interesting bit: Workshop Wishes comes from Ferris Wheel Press's FerriTales line, the chapter themed around Pinocchio — this one is Geppetto's workshop, hence the beech wood brown and the box illustrated with tools, sketches and a half-finished puppet head. Ferris Wheel Press is a Canadian company, and their bottles carry a French name alongside the English one; on this box it's Vœux d'Atelier.
This is a hand-decanted 4ml sample vial from my own bottle.
