Hue: Officially a forest green with silver shimmer. In my swatches the written line reads as a deep green, but where the ink pools it leans more teal/blue-green than a classic forest green, and the shimmer gives it a cool, silvery-grey cast.

Shading: Moderate. Visible light-to-dark variation in handwriting, more pronounced in wider strokes.

Sheen: Heavy burgundy/wine-red sheen, especially at the edges of strokes and in pooled areas. It’s a big part of this ink’s character.

Shimmer: Silver, and plenty of it. Strong in swabs, subtler but still visible in writing. Give the vial a gentle roll before filling.

Flow: Medium

The interesting bit: Part of Ferris Wheel Press’s 2023 FerriTales collection, from the “Once Upon a Time” story. It’s Little Red Riding Hood: a deep green forest lit by scattered silvery light. The red sheen against the green makes a fitting nod to the cloak. The box art hides forest animals, stray ink bottles and a clue to the next story in the collection.

This is a hand-decanted 4ml sample vial from my own bottle.
Photos are my own swatches on Tomoe River Paper.
I’m a collector and I’m always happy to talk ink, so please message me if you have any questions.
