Officially and in most reviews it's described as a pale blush pink; my swatches run noticeably deeper and more muted, a dusty rose with a mauve-berry lean that darkens towards plum where it pools. Herbin says the colour is the faded bouquet you'd find in an elderly relative's home, a nod to times gone by. It belongs to La Perle des Encres ("The Jewel of Inks"), Herbin's standard line. The line is said to date from 1700, from a house founded in 1670 that calls itself the oldest name in ink.

This is a hand-decanted 4ml sample vial from my own bottle.
Photos are my own swatches on Tomoe River Paper.
I'm a collector and I'm always happy to talk ink, so please message me if you have any questions.
